This EODS advanced training aimed at providing election practitioners with additional tools and knowledge to assess and observe the resolution of election disputes in the context of an EU EOM and provided a detailed analysis of the International Obligations and Commitments on Elections.
During the course, participants were introduced to topics relevant to the work of an EU election observation mission, with an special emphasis on international obligation, commitments and good practice related to elections, and resolution of election disputes. Drafting EU EOM reports and recommendations was an important part of the training.
The training combined presentations, discussions and case studies. In addition to this, there were exercises aiming at developing participants’ reporting skills in line with EU EOM requirements.
