Launch of the training for the position of Long-Term Observer in EU EOMs

EODS II has opened today a five-days training in Brussels targeting prospective Long-Term Observers (LTOs). Its main goal is to provide the 20 participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to work as LTOs in an EU EOM. The training will end on 20 October. The main themes presented over the training include: EU EOM methodology and structure, the role of LTOs, the role of the Service Provider, security and mission awareness, how to observe and assess key areas such as the election administration, the campaign and the respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
