EODS took part in the EPDE Follow-up on Recommendations Implementation Conference that took place in Brussels from 12-13 December. This year’s conference focused on Hybrid Threats in Elections and how they can be addressed by citizen and international observer groups, as well as the possible limitations. The discussion was particularly relevant following recent European elections where disinformation and foreign interference were seen to play a role. EODS Team Leader Holly Ruthrauff moderated a panel discussion on interaction with institutional actors and the need for coordination. There were more questions than answers during the conference and for sure this is an issue that we will continue to discuss in 2025.
