EODS opens doors for a training for Election Analysts in EU EOMs

Election Observation and Democracy Support (EODS III) organised a training for the core team position of Election Analyst in European Union Election Observation Missions (EU EOMs), from 09 until 12 April 2024. A total of 12 participants from EU Member States, gathered at the EODS office in Brussels for the four-day activity, which also covered observation of election technologies. Participants came from Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and The Netherlands. A similar training had been organized by EODS III in 2022, aimed at providing participants with knowledge and tools to work as an Election Analyst in EU EOMs. Election Analysts are responsible for assessing the performance of the election administration, including the preparations and conduct of the election process, which represents a significant part of the EU EOMs election observation work. Officials from the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) and the European External Action Service (EEAS) were also present and contributed to a fruitful exchange and discussion between the participants.
