The EODS specialised training on the observation of EMBs and voter registration provided experienced election practitioners with tools to assess and observe voter registration procedures and Election Management Bodies activities.
Participants were introduced to topics relevant to the observation of EMBs, their functioning and a deep analysis of different models. Participants were also taught about international obligations, commitments and good practice related to election management. Special attention was devoted to procedures for voter registration, as well as typology and technology. As an important exercise, trainees were required among others to draft reports and recommendations and work on their interpersonal skills.
The training combined presentations, discussions and case studies. Participants received a feedback on the exercise according to report structure and comprehensiveness, analysis and conclusiveness, as well as writing and language skills.
