Application for the Online Advanced Training on Recommendations and Follow-Up 2021

Brussels, 13-15 January 2021

Election Observation and Democracy Support (EODS II), a project funded by the European Commission, will organise an online training on recommendations and follow-up for European Union Election Observation Missions from Tuesday 13 to Friday 15 January 2021.

The training intends to provide participants with a better insight of:

  1. How to formulate recommendations of a consistent quality and in line with the EU ‘policy’ regarding recommendations.
  2. How to support the implementation of EU EOM recommendations.

The event aims also at allowing participants to exchange lesson learnt, good practices and experiences.

The training will focus on the role of Deputy Chief Observers (DCOs) as well as Legal (LAs) and Election Analysts (EAs) in formulating recommendations and supporting their implementation during EU election observation missions (EOMs), including the return visit. It will also aim at presenting EU tools available for follow-up, both at political and operational level, which can inform the drafting of follow-up plans.

This event is designed for experienced DCOs and legal or election analysts only.

The training will be conducted in English, with some sessions in French if required.
